Privacy Policy

The short version: BeastBook stores your workout, nutrition, and health data locally on your own device. There is no BeastBook account, no server, and no analytics or advertising SDKs in this app. The only things that ever leave your device are: (1) the text you type into an AI food search, sent to Google or Anthropic to look up nutrition info, (2) a photo you take or choose of a meal, sent to Google's Gemini API, if you use the AI photo-estimate feature, (3) a barcode number, sent to Open Food Facts, when you scan a food's barcode, and (4) if you have a subscription, purchase and subscription data handled by our billing provider, RevenueCat, to activate and manage your subscription.

Who this policy covers

BeastBook is developed by Corporate Incorporated Ltd. This policy explains what information the BeastBook app collects, how it's used, and your choices. If you have questions, contact privacy@beastbook.uk.

Information the app collects

Information you enter directly

Stored only in a local database on your device — never transmitted anywhere:

Profile details: name, age, date of birth, gender, height, weight, fitness goal (used to calculate your calorie targets)
Workout data: exercises, sets, reps, weights, rest timers, programmes you create
Nutrition data: meals, calories, and macros you log
Weight-tracking entries
App preferences (accent color, notification settings, and similar)

Health & fitness data from Health Connect (optional)

If you choose to connect Health Connect, BeastBook reads (never writes): step count, heart rate, weight, body fat percentage, and active calories burned. This is read-only and only happens if you explicitly grant the permission — you can revoke it at any time in Android's Health Connect settings. This data is used only to display it inside the app and is stored locally alongside your other data.

Information sent to third parties (only when you use these specific features)

No health data, workout data, weight, age, or any other personal profile information is ever included in these requests — only the specific search text, meal photo, or barcode number for that one lookup, or the purchase/subscription data above for billing. A meal photo you send for an AI estimate is used only to generate that one result and isn't stored by us afterward. If you add your own personal Gemini or Anthropic API key in Settings, that key is stored locally on your device and used only to authenticate your own requests to that provider. BeastBook never sees or stores your card details — payment is handled entirely by Google Play.

Sharing your own workouts (optional)

If you export a workout or programme as a QR code or text code, or generate a shareable social card, that file or image can include your profile name along with the workout content. This isn't sent to us or to any server — it's a file or image you choose to share directly with whoever you send it to (by message, by showing the QR code, or however you distribute it), the same as sharing any other file from your device.

What BeastBook does not do

No account creation, no sign-in, no password
No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs of any kind
No data is sold or shared for advertising or marketing purposes
No BeastBook-operated server — your workout, nutrition, and health data is stored only on your own device. (Subscription status is the one exception — see below.)

How to delete your BeastBook data

Most of your data: delete it yourself, any time. All of your workout, nutrition, and health data lives only in a local database on your device — BeastBook has no server and no account. Delete individual entries inside the app whenever you like, or uninstall the app to erase everything at once. There is no cloud copy to separately request deletion of, because none is ever created.

What's kept, and for how long:

Deleted immediately / on uninstall: profile info, workout and exercise data, nutrition/calorie logs, weight-tracking entries, Health Connect data, app preferences.
Not deleted by uninstalling — retained separately: subscription and purchase records (held by RevenueCat and Google Play, as required for billing, fraud prevention, and legal/tax record-keeping).

To request deletion of subscription/purchase records: email privacy@beastbook.uk from the address associated with your purchase (we'll verify and submit a deletion request to RevenueCat on your behalf), or contact RevenueCat directly.

Children's privacy

BeastBook is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Security

Because your data stays on your device rather than passing through a server we control, it's protected by your device's own security (lock screen, encryption, etc.). Requests to Google, Anthropic, and Open Food Facts are made over encrypted HTTPS connections.

Third-party services

When BeastBook sends a request to Google, Anthropic, Open Food Facts, or RevenueCat, that request is also subject to that provider's own privacy policy:

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change accordingly. Material changes will be reflected in the app's store listing.
